After performing her Hannah Montana Tour 2026 songs “This Is the Life” and “The Climb” for the first time, Miley Cyrus brushed her iconic bangs and prepared to be the character that started her career. Miley Cyrus performed for her die-hard fans and brought them on her Hannah Montana journey, with a special announcement that the Disney character and the real Miley were finally going to be one. This special is my reclaiming of merging Hannah and Miley together.
Cyrus was completely ready to celebrate her “Hannahversary” and blow off the people who referred to the celebration as “an anniversary,” by bringing together her die-hard fans, so dedicated that multiple fans flew from Brazil and London for the Hannah Montana special within one day of planning. During the “Hannahversary” and concert taping, it is easy to remember how hard it was for mega stars like Miley Cyrus to start their career as a child star for Disney before they could achieve their dreams as a huge pop star. The reinventions of Miley Cyrus have not stopped and like every good pop star with a huge fan base, she has completely reinvented herself and come of age in the public eye, especially as her character did from Hannah Montana. For Miley Cyrus, “hannah montana tour 2026 tickets” was not just a stepping stone, it was something from her real life that was not being created.
Did she go to Florida?
One of the fans at the taping, Jen, sees the “Hannah Montana” curio in a different light. “It was great seeing someone do normal girl stuff. Living in Los Angeles is celebrity culture, and it showed that celebrities are real people. They’re still going through the same themes of family and friends as you are. The core is the things that you all go through.”
It explains why real “Hannah Montana” fans, the ones discovered by event organizers with “online paper trails” celebrating their devotion, came to Hollywood to be a part of the concert taping for the special. Just the week before, Miley had been seen filming in full “Hannah Montana” attire in Malibu, where the character lived, and had filmed a sit down with true superfan Alex Cooper (host of “Call Her Daddy” hannah montana tour 2026 25+) who was also in the audience for the concert taping sitting right behind Tish, Miley’s mom.
Fans had begun waiting in line as early as 5:30 am to see the taping. They later noted in TikToks and X posts that they never thought this event would happen, and that their lives were about to be altered forever.
Hannah Montana Tour 2026
People really got into the Hannah Montana themed dress code. The room was flooded with Limited Too nostalgia. Coral dresses, pink tights, and butterfly clips. Let’s not forget the vintage tattered tour tees and cowboy boots. And of course the tiny handbags and J. Lo inspired tinted sunnies. Also vintage. Everything was so spot on, it almost felt like a sentient version of the Hannah Montana Tour 2026 Soundstage closet came to be on set. While waiting in one of the never ending lines, a lucky girl named Ali, got to tell her friend how she was excited to see someone rocking a classic Hannah Montana yellow zebra print top with an iconic pink glove. The top and glove combo sent shivers down her spine. Such a classic combo. Only the truest of fans stand in line for hours to get in.

Waiting outside the studio, Gabriela told me she was literally in from Brazil for only an hour. She said it was a nail biter because her text letting her know to come out was sent at 8pm and she was on a plane to L.A. in three hours. With the delay, she got to the studio in 6 hours. Gabriela said, “She’s everything I wanted to be,” as she slipped her jean jacket off to show her left arm with a bicep length tattoo of Cyrus
What was it that gave her that fandom?
“She grew up with me. She’s so versatile. She’s always changing — it’s amazing to see.”
The what was the same with everybody for the Summer Friday in February (in Hollywood it was 90+ degrees). These superfans felt something for Hannah Montana that 20 years of time has not weakened. Love said to me, “Kill your inner child,” is what they always say but “she would have loved this.” In the car with friends Amy and Gabby (who had both made the trip with her), they sang Hannah Montana songs. Gabby remembered it was an escape and, “I felt like I was in Malibu with her.” From then on, whatever was coming, Hannah Montana superfans knew no limits. It was then put to the test by the quite frankly, exhausting, hours of waiting to get in the soundstage. Attendees got to the 5-story parking garage roof which, even at 10:15 AM, felt like being locked in a tanning bed. Only those first in, got to escape the sun, in the shade of the two little tents, while the others baked while, in typical soundstage security fashion, our phones were locked in pouches. (Let it be known, that it’s perfectly normal for tapings to make fans wait and wait).
(The production team for this special made an unforgivable mistake in failing to plan for an unusually hot day.)
Waiting took on a whole new meaning. For about an hour, we wandered around the lot until we were herded into a big empty room with no windows, separated by a chain-link fence. “I want to see how many lines we can go in before we get there,” said an unknown male fan. “At least there’s air conditioning alex jones shopping.” Well, that changed when, in about 45 minutes, the air conditioning decided to take a break. It was a revealing moment for all of us about how much we really need modern technology because time basically ceased to exist without our phones.
We were eventually brought onto a soundstage, where a hype man was performing wonderfully, and forcefully, as always, for the audience. “Hannah Montana will be here in five minutes!” he shouted out, continuously predicting the countdown every 10 minutes. I think it was around 1:30 p.m. when Cyrus finally peeked out from behind the curtain next to the stage. It was finally time, a moment 20 years in the making.
What’s three hours more?
Of course, Cyrus brought back the energy to all the fans waiting, as she brought back the character of Hannah Montana. As she came back out on stage from the back, in all black with black sunglasses and a black dress with a gold-studded microphone, the character came right back to her. The taping itself was pretty normal, considering, as Cyrus sang “This Is the Life” and “The Climb” two times, before exiting the stage and coming back to lip-sync the songs one more time. “It’s a little confusing, huh?” she told the audience while killing time in between. “Hybrid Hannah: a little bit of Hannah, a little bit of Miley.”
Cyrus, while enjoying the audience cheering, took a moment to reflect while the audience gave a roar for what she had brought back. “I was on the TV in [your] living room,” she said.
Everything we wrote, we were able to be with you all in your homes… That’s my character’s struggle to let go of.” She handled with charm the show’s premise of her character being a pop star, with no one in her school having knowledge of it, because her character changed schools with just a wig. “Disney was the first to do drag on TV,” was one of her puns. After singing the songs for the third time, she judged herself as if she were on the stage of “Ru Paul’s Drag Race”: “Shantay, you stay.”
It was appropriate, then, that choreographer Jamal Sims, a regular on “Drag Race,” was present to teach fans how to respond to Cyrus’ third and final song, “Best of Both Worlds.” The producers were generous enough to provide signs for fans to hold up during the performance. It was first, of six, songs that featured a massive “Hannah Montana” Marquee and backup dancers of the same name. For each performance, Cyrus rose from a trap door in the stage and sang the “Hannah Montana” Theme song and pretended to shred a guitar at just the right moment, with a pyrotechnic display going off behind her. The gratification was immediate; fans had tears on their shining cheeks as the lights pulsed on stage.
And that brought one last wave of confetti on the final song run through. Closing time. The end of a chapter that could have some would say should have never even been opened. It was time for Hannah Montana to fade back into the archives and remain a single Disney special. The alex jones shopping time now was 3:30 PM, and nobody wanted this to end. It was very clear, this brought into the world legend status.
